  Karnan A movie that is visually beautiful and socially impactful is one best adaptation of Indian mythology. Karnan shed light on the hardship the unprivileged group has to face in society but this time with some commercial touch to it. The film is full of symbols which for shadows the events which happen later in the movie. In this film not just the humans become the character’s but from a snail to the mountains are part of the story make this movie a unique experience.   Minnal Murali To make a superhero movie that suits Kerala culture is not an easy job. The tight screenplay of this film makes it a good story even if we take out the superhero elements. A fun Satire

  The new Netflix animated movie America The Motion Picture is a reimagining of the American Revolution with a twist. It is a none sensical animated flick and the movie is exactly that, which the director wants us to watch. We must set aside our brain to enjoy what is a fun over the top movie that takes place in a made-up world in our actual history. I love these types film which is bold enough to present their idea without the intention to prove anything. The final battle was well executed along with referenced many popular movies, sports, and many more. After watching this movie went google search for the real-life persons which characters represented this made me like the movie even better. If it won't be a problem I like to see a remained version of Indian history as well

Horror + Crime

  The new Malayalam thriller is a blending of horror and crime genre. The movie is not the next best thing but a one-time watch. The editing and camera are excellent in the film so are the BackGround Score.  The story, it started in an interesting way but when it comes to it became quite predictable. In a crime thriller, the story will be interesting if the task of solving the crime is a challenge but when it comes to the second half it becomes easy for the protagonist. The horror part is done in a believable way that does not break the reality of the world it is set. When it comes to the acting part everybody has done good jobs the roles were not challenging for anyone. "Cold Case is a one-time watch thriller that does not belong to the must-watch category but worth giving it a try" Rating 6/10

My Top five movies of 2021 so far

 Karnan A movie magically reimagined Mahabharata with a new twist to the tale. The movie transforms the viewers to the world the story is set. It felt like we are part of the Village and of course, the story is something that is still relevant today. Raya and The Last Dragon I was lucky enough to see this gem on the big screen. This was one of the most intense Disney movies I have seen. All the characters are multilayered which I like about the film. It has got some intense sword fight in an animated movie. Nayattu  This is one of the most heartbreaking films from the Malayalam film industry. The story was new and was not seen from Mollywood. The movie reflects the harsh reality of the political systems in our country. Zack Snyders's Justice league The list won't be complete without a superhero film. A perfect Tribute to the legend?

 Ray is yet another anthology based on short stories of the legend Satyajit Ray The negative I have is at least three movies could have cut short in 40 Minutes rather than almost one hour of running time and they could have made more impact. The movies Bharupiya and Spotlight were a bit confusing when it comes to the end because it kind of breaks the reality it is set in even though the stories were interesting. The final twist reveals of Spotlight which is the first entry in the anthology was quite predictable. The movie which likes among the four  Manoj Bajpayee starred "Hungama Hey Kyon Barpa" which felt a good mixture of seriousness and comedy but again running time made the movie lagged. On the technical side the visuals, music was good and have some sequences which are rare in Indian movies and all the actors have done a good job. A simple story

The new Netflix movie Fatherhood is a simple story with a heartwarming message. This, not the best film ever made and it never tries to be. The movie has some cringe moments which can be overlooked. I have seen movies where single moms bringing up children, in fatherhood, are about a widowed husband bringing up his child which I haven't seen before. Well, the tone and plot of the movie might be familiar and those don't like these type of movies might not like it. Kevin Hart was good in his role so was the rest of the cast. This kind of movie you can watch with family during this tough time. Fatherhood is not just watched a film but watching it won't hurt anyone.

Finally A movie on wild life conservation

 Always wanted to see a movie that shed light on wildlife conservation from India and finally got one. The plot of Sherni is a subject that no one discusses considered less important among common people. The plot revolves around the forest of Madhya Pradesh and when a man-eating tiger is on the run and a wildlife officer played by Vidya Balan is on a mission to capture the tiger. The movie showcase perfectly the hardships of wildlife officers and how they try to keep the peace between humans and animals. The movie shows how important conservation is and how can selfish people be an obstacle to make conservation possible. Everything in the film is captured realistic as if we are watching a real event.  Sherni is one of those rare films that discuss something important that should consider as a priority in today's world.

Jagame Thandhiram Hit or Miss

 The New Kollywood gangster flick is a disappointment in terms of what was expected. It has got everything to hyped. Dhanush is good at picking scripts for the last few years and it has got an international face like Jame Cosmo finally a craftsman like Karthik Subbaraj is directing it.  Jagame Thandhiram is not a bad film but it doesn't add anything new and it is predictable after the first half. This is hard to say but the writing bit lazy and the second is a bit dragged. The movie does not make you bore entirely and the action sequences are well made. The performance of the was impressive. The expectation may have affected the impact or whether the theatre viewing would make more impact maybe.

21st century Aladin

Always wanted to see Aladin set up in the 21st-century era and finally, it is here but as a different film. The Netflix film Wish Dragon is nothing but a copy of  Aladin instead of Genie we have a dragon and the premise is set in China. The movie doesn't add anything new the final message of the movie which is about love is more important than money which is the same as Aladin. It has got cliche elements like the main villain and two idiot sidekicks which are expected in this type of movie. The only positive is the voice cast and the movie is not boring. Wish dragon isn't something worth investing our time in unless there are kids at our home.

A sweet Tale

The new Netflix series Sweet Tooth is a beautiful tale of love, trust, and unity. This may maybe a tough watch because the show  reminds us of the world we are in today. To take it in a positive way the series reminds us of how to survive when the world crumbles. Christian Convery  The series based DC Comics Vertigo imprint is based on a boy named Gus who is a human-animal hybrid and his adventure e find his mom the story takes place on post-apocalyptic earth. Christian Convery who plays Gus is so charming.  The show can also be defined as a sci-fi take on a fantasy adventure story. The plot is also about tales of different characters and it has done a good job to connect all these stories. This has got some dark elements to it but not as in other Netflix series it a sixteen-plus show. Sweet Tooth may not be the best show but it has the potential to be one and the second season is coming for sure and can't wait to see how the show develops further.

Loki Starts with a Bang

  Loki in Marvel Cinematic Universe is always an interesting character because he is unpredictable Loki can be a hero an villain or an antihero.  The trailer of Loki was so excited to see it and the first episode is the kind of start that is required for the series. Tom Hiddleston is great as Loki can't think of anyone else portraying that role. The first episode is an engaging one that also gives memories of previous movies in the MCU. Owen Wilson is also good at playing Mobius.M. Mobius. The episode expands more on what we know about the cinematic universe. Like the title, it focuses on the main character further develops him. Can't wait for the next episode and will Loki change the overall nature of the MCU let us wait and see.

One of such movie is Chanthu Pottu. The premise of the movie is about man who raised a woman. Season Two of Family Man is Lit

 Like the predecessor, Family Man Season 2 is an edge of the seat ride from beginning to end. Episodes were in the right meter and not a single episode felt slow. The series had the potential to be "The series from India".What I like about the first two seasons is have a pan-Indian appeal it captures the diversity  India has perfectly.  Manoj Bajapayee in Family Man The highlight of the series is the direction one takes action that makes us feel like we are part of the world. The cast is so amazing and Manoj Bajpayee is the perfect protagonist and this is the perfect example that you don't need a six-pack or build body and one-liners to be a hero. Samantha is a perfect antagonist and it is rare for a female villain like this from Indian movies or series. The television content from India is getting worst and worst and series like Family Man can represent India internationally and those who haven't seen it please watch the two-season support content like this.

Will Jamgame Thandhiram knock it out of the park

  The trailer for the new Dhanush s tarer is a treat. The Good thing about the trailer is it does give much to make us more excited. The craft of Karthik Subbaraj can be seen and the trailer as international local look to it. The movie has an international actor James Cosmo which all GOT fans will recognise as Jeor Morm o ont the leader of the night watch which is a big milestone for an Indian it also has mallu actors Aishwarya Les k hmi now has a huge fan following and Joju George who recently got a national appreciation fr his performance in Nayattu . It is probably going to be a gangster thriller hope it bring some new elements to the genre. Unfortunately, Jagame Thandhiram will release on Netflix on June 18 but It would have been a blast to see it on the big screen.

Because of it, I went to the movie with the least expectations. I didn’t like the first movie that much as well but I like this film a lot for what it is. This is a full packed entertainer that keeps the viewers on edge of the seat. Those who don’t like the movie are treating it like thefull-packed worst movie ever made, common there are worst movies than this .Yes, there should have been more Carnage in the movie and Cletus Kasdey  should have been more fleshed out. Favourites comic characters from childhood that needs a movie or a series

Mayavi This is a comic which is running since 1984. Mayavi is a fairy or can be termed as something like a genie in Aladin who was found by two kids named Raju and Radha and they became lifelong friends. The story doesn't stop there Mayavi is hunted by Witches named Kuttusan and Dakini along with their apprentice who is another fairy Luttapi.  The entire comic is about their adventures that take place in this world. These characters and huge fanbase and everyone would happy to see a well adapted Mayavi show or a movie. Rather than a kids-friendly adaptation serious take on it will be interesting.
