Fantastic fiction

  Doctor starring Siva Karthikeyan is a complete entertainer which also has some flaws. The director Nelson knows how to make an engaging movie from start to end. Well, the movie has its cringe moments especially and the second which prevents it from being from a perfect film. Some sequences are hard to believe which breaks the reality the movie is set in. The protagonist doctor is an interesting character but felt he should have flushed out more and we need a sequel to know more about him. That is another problem I have with the film rest characters were just there and we never connect with all of them. The villain did not feel dangerous with the hype given to him he was like a typical bad guy. I felt distracted when the movies started with romantic but that was where the movie was heading, the story starts from there.   The new Suriya starer Jai Bhim is another social drama that deals with an important topic. Jai Bhim tries to be this impactful movie that sheds light on an important topic but falls short to be impactful. The big reason for it is that the characters never really flushed out except Lijomol Jose’s character and she was great in the role.  Surya’s advocate Chandhu was dimensional; he felt like a hero that came to the rescue. The movie focused on the message and didn’t think of how to execute it.  The movie has its moments especially Sengani played by Lijomol Jose says no to the help given to her and that was a powerful scene.    Amazon Prime Music bounty Films like Visarne and Karan talked about this topic in a more impactful way. The running time of the movie could have been cut short. The outcome of the movie is quite predictable but still holds some twists.  The screenplay of the movie is a roller coaster with some impactful scenes, some not so impactful....

 Toofan was disappointed in terms of being a movie about boxers and another boxing film in a week was too much to take but Sarpatta Parambarai is a much better and refreshing experience. What makes the movie unique is that where the plot is set in and it's the unique tone for sports Drama. Scarpetta focuses on the rivalry between two clans Sarpatta Parambarai and Idiyappa Parambrai. The superiority of clans is set through who wins the boxing match. It is about these clans seeking redemption and politics within the members of the clan. The cracking background score gives us the vibe and takes us to the world of the Sarpatta clan. But the main highlight is of course the boxing matches we feel the pain and rage of the fighters and the emotions of the crowd in the movie. The climax fight sequence was so intense make us confuse who is going to win as if we are watching a real boxing match.  The New Kollywood gangster flick is a disappointment in terms of what was expected. It has got everything to hyped. Dhanush is good at picking scripts for the last few years and it has got an international face like Jame Cosmo finally a craftsman like Karthik Subbaraj is directing it.  Jagame Thandhiram is not a bad film but it doesn't add anything new and it is predictable after the first half. This is hard to say but the writing bit lazy and the second is a bit dragged. The movie does not make you bore entirely and the action sequences are well made. The performance of the was impressive. The expectation may have affected the impact or whether the theatre viewing would make more impact maybe.
